Keep is a small village that primarily exists to provide goods and services to the Hearth Knights stationed at Hellfrost Keep. It’s defended by a wooden palisade and arranged in a square, with one road entering from the Heligioland to the north and exiting toward Hellfrost Keep to the south. The people of Keep are largely decent folk, numbering around 500, but the town can double in size on market days or when a large caravan comes through, making it difficult for the villagers to maintain order.
There are a dozen taverns, most barely large enough to house a dozen patrons, providing welcome for those returning from the wastes beyond the wall, or marking a last taste of home for those venturing northward. The taverns operate 24 hours a day.
